  3. Thanks so much Gilly for the memories and for inspiring me and so many others around the world, all the best 🙂 Absolute legend, deserving of all the rewards and praises and then some, we may give you a call-up for the 3rd test in Perth 😀

  4. A TRULEY INSPIRING PERSON AND SPORTSMAN, OUTSTANDING WICKET KEEPER BEYOND WORDS, TOO YOUNG TO RETIRE MATE, FANTASTIC CAREER, FULLY ENJOYED WATCHING YOU PLAY MATE.
    GOOD ON YA.

  5. If there’s one Aussie cricketer that I admire and love it is Gilly! He really brought boundless joy to millions and sure shows that he has his heart in the right place. Gilly could be one of the fewest batsmen who could played very well against the ferocious WI attack of late 70’s and 80’s. That’s a mighty compliment if anyone knows cricket.

  6. fucking hell im a huge gilly fan but surely he has a bad bone in his body nobody in the worlds this fucking nice probably in my view australias greatest batsman since the don i know ponting and a few others average more have more runs more tons but if you asked every aussie cricket fan who they would pay to watch bat i reckon gilly would be number 1 ever time a amazing batsmen nobody was more feared than gilly

  7. it would have been nice to see some comments from the opponents he faced from sub continental teams. but i was always a fan of gilchrist, since the start of his career, when most other cricket fan did not care about him; that’s what makes me proud to be a gilly fan:D

  8. Best Australian cricket player ever in my view. True destroyer of any team, had bad times during his career but gave me some memories that will never be forgotten. I will miss you GILLY.

  9. a story about adam gilchrists life isnt complete without talking of the destroying he received from freddie flintoff in the 2005 ashes, that effectively spelled the end of his cricket career! – but still was a great player, will be missed.

  10. man he is a true living legend… he is an inspiration 2 one and all, gilly u been a great ambassador for cricket.. WE’LL MISS U. GILLY ROKS;-)
