  1. I remember this well, was at my grandparents house in Bankstown, for what ever reason they were taking an interest in this match purely because it was Steve’s last match and he was from Bankstown despite never having watched cricket in their lives.

    They’re both dead now, RIP

  2. I remember one of the commentators, I think it may have been Bill Lawry saying after Waugh’s dismissal, summarising it nicely by saying ‘Bowled by a fellow Warrior, caught by a fellow champion’ in regards to Kumble being the bowler and Tendulkar being the catcher.

  5. the best aussie ever to play cricket. He is on my list after tendulkar. U’ll always be in our memory. Hats off to u legend.

  6. how fitting that his last time at bat was bowled kumble caught tendulkar. A great indian leggy and a great indian batsman combine to take the wicket of the great steve waugh. I reckon if any other combination had taken s.waugh’s wicket would not have done his last test innings justice. What character. He could have poked around and got his ton, but he went out trying to win the match. This is one video I will show my son as an example of selfsacrifice for team glory. Well done Steve.

  7. I’ve honestly been searching for this on youtube for 3.5 years…….It brings back so many memories of my favourite cricketer of all time. This innings is legendary and thank you for putting this up!
