  1. Sachin Tendulkar did that for India for a decade and a half, so Clarke has it relatively easy. 🙂

But the investment in Clarke all these years as a future captain has certainly paid off. Maybe by the end of his career he’d have guided Australia to a new era of success reminiscent of when he started out.

  2. Pup you’ve been carrying the team on your shoulders, you need some serious help from the other batsmen. But that’s just not happening… I feel for you!

  3. who else really feels for Clarke right now? He’s in form and trying to single-handedly lead his side against a confident Indian team, getting little to no support from his batters. STAY IN THERE CLARKE!! we still support ya!!!!

  4. he might have been brilliant on the field. but off it he’s a dolts. and it is jobs for mates. merv? taylor? gawd

  5. Yeah it’s an opinion, from arguably the most BRILLIANT cricket mind this generation, including on field leadership, people management and the game. Jobs for mates is a stretch – the people he’s picking shaped his early career into legend status. I’d love some of that company if I was up and coming in the game.

  6. warnies piece is nothing more than an opinion piece and not much else. it doesn’t show what would be good for the team. it’s jobs for mates

  7. CA better read Warney’s piece and start acting. We have to remember the Golden Era of Australian Cricket is dead. Having said that, disgraceful performance and Clarke is captaining a ship that’s full of holes and is creaking. Spin bowling needs to be focused more back home, Clarke FINALLY is moving up the order. Watto is lost unless opening now that he’s not bowling. Sub-content is about mental application and grit. Cant believe us aussies arent showing it. Doherty needs a chance, maxwell ok

  8. also it’s time they stopped using this player management line crap. it’s not working and never has. it’s time they tell us why have they picked 3 all rounders when there isn’t a need for them

  9. maybe if the selectors didn’t select such an un balanced squad. we might be in a better position.

  10. They make batting look so hard! They have no shots but the cut shot (other then Clarke). Unacceptable is a cop out.

Surly they had practice before this test. More traning won’t make a difference. They have no skill!
